I probably won't be getting on this blog anymore. Andrew and I have a blog now so I will most likely just be posting to that one! Don't worry, they're song lyrics. But they are totally true! This has been a really long weekend already and it's only Friday! But this year is going to be incredible! I can't wait!! :)

And yes, it has, once again, been a while since I've posted anything on here! Oops! And this is going to be a nice black and white post because I have no pictures right now...

Anyway... Life has been insane since school started! I always forget how crazy things get once you're full blown into 17 credit hours and doing practicums for every class, oh, and homework! But really, that shouldn't keep me all that busy, right? Haha!

Big things that have happened since I posted last....

Rush for Theta! :) We over doubled the size of our chapter! 24 girls joined Theta this semester! Craziness! I am so excited for this semester/year! It is going to be incredible! My pledges are all amazing girls! And my girls that are coming back are just as wonderful as ever! I'm so excited! This week we are having one of the boys come and coach us and give us some pointers on our football skills for powderpuff next week! I'll have to let you know how that goes!

School... SOOO much school... so little time! Haha! Taking 17 hours is one thing, I've done it before, and I'll probably do it again, but having to do practicums and be in classrooms for hours at a time outside of school is psycho! And I will definitely discover how much I want to be a teacher this semester. So, new plan for life, I will either be in school for the long haul (a few more years [possibly at a new school]), or I will be going to school to finish out this semester and then I will be finished with school and graduating! :) I can't wait till I actually get far enough into this semester to decide which of these things I'm going to be doing... all these unknowns have been driving me crazy lately!

Oh, and I'm taking an international children's literature class that is AMAZING! I love it! I am going to be reading a TON this semester, but it's awesome! It's all kid's books so it's good times! I just finished reading "Ways to Live Forever" by Sally Nicholls... If any of you get a chance to read it, you should! It is a super cute book! And it's only like 200 pages and it is a really easy read... Best kind of book! :) It's going to be a great semester of reading kid's books! So excited! :)

And now it is Friday night and I have been sitting at home doing homework and watching Grey's Anatomy all night.... how cool am I? haha! But that is ok, it has been a good night! And now I'm going to bed... early... so I can get up early on my Saturday... Yay! :)

After 4 months...

... I finally have a second to post something on here!

Craziness has taken over my life for the past few months and I can't promise that it won't again in the coming months. School starting, sorority madness, that's really all it takes to keep me from having time to post anything on here. Maybe I will magically find some time to keep people updated with my life though! :) (Time machine, anyone?)

First of all, I guess I should fill everyone in on the fantastic events that took place over the summer....

Right after school got out for the summer, I went to Vegas and California with my mom, sister, Sara, and some other friends. It was a blast! We got to hang out in Disneyland for a few days and party it up in Vegas! Can life get any better? I submit that it canno... well, we'll see how you feel about that at the end of this post.

After that vacation, I came home and relaxed for a few days. The relaxation of these few (3) days consisted of doing an incredible amount of laundry that had been piling up in my old apartment, and packing for the next adventure of the summer....

And so it began... On May 14, my dad and sister dropped me off at the airport, and I got on the redeye flight to New York with a friend from my sorority, and we were off!

After landing in New York at 6:00am, Allison and I spent the day hanging out in New York. We didn't have time to do a whole lot, but we saw what we could and tried our hardest to stay awake the whole time. We got to walk inside the Empire State Building, and we hung out in Central Park for a few hours, we watched the taping of Good Morning, America, and were on tv for a millisecond, we saw Rockafellar square, and a few other things. Honestly, the only reason I remember some of those things is because I have pictures of them. I walked around like a zombie all day. Note: Redeye flight followed by a lot of hours of walking around a city like New York, or anywhere really, is NOT a good idea! (The first one is when we first landed in New York, you can already tell how tired we are! Followed by HOURS of walking around the City!)

After the longest day of our lives, Allison and I got on a plane and headed to Germany!! The next two and a half months were possibly some of the best months of my life. I spent the weeks in a little village called Gries (pronounced Greece) with an American family stationed with the army over there. The connection? There wasn't one. Allison talked to her Relief Society presidency, who talked to someone in the Relief Society out in Germany, who talked to the Stake Relief Society presidency, and we ended up staying with the Relief Society Stake President in the Military stake out there! It was incredible! And talk about small world, Susan was a president of her chapter in Lambda Delta Sigma (the LDS sororities that I am currently a president of). The family was incredible! In the house there were Allison, Allison (their 6 year old daughter), Susan, Brian, and me. It was amazing! They were such a generous family and willing to do anything for us! It was, honestly, the opportunity of a lifetime!

We stayed in Gries during the week most weeks and traveled on the weekends. We went all over Europe! It was INCREDIBLE! We went to Berlin, Homburg, Garmisch, Rothenburg, Neuschwanstein, Paris, Monkey Park, Cannes, Dublin, London, Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre, Madrid, Switzerland, Austria, and some other places that would probably not sound familiar to anyone (even though some of those probably don't sound familiar either). There are thousands of pictures from this summer, so here are highlights! ....

Easter Eggs & Sun Burns...

Craziness since March! I can't believe I let over 3 weeks get away from me without blogging! How dare I?!

Since last time I blogged...

I am officially legal now... 21, with a new, non-suspended license and all! Oh, and funny story, when I went to get my license renewed on my birthday, I found out I had been driving around with a suspended license for a year and two months! Oops!! How is it possible for that to happen and me not to know?! Don't you think someone should have caught that... like my car insurance company or something?! Guess not. Good thing I've been a good driver for all that time, or who knows what I would be doing now. I don't think I would last long in prison! I know, I know, I've got the intimidation factor going for me. People see these muscles and think, "I don't want to mess with that!" But I don't think I would like to try that out in prison.

General conference was also a fun part of what you've missed in my life since last blog. I love getting to listen to conference! It is always so uplifting and it had some great messages, like always. (temple.... *hand raise* temple... *hand raise* temple, temple, church... *HAND RAISE*! haha)

Last Tuesday, I talked Caroline into skipping classes with me and we went to IHOP for breakfast and then to the mall.... Productive day! But it was so nice, I couldn't go sit inside at school... Then, she ditched me to go to class, so I went to do some homework at the institute. Still disappointed about being inside during the beautiful weather, I decided to do my homework outside on the lawn... Last time I did that was with Andrew, to give you some perspective of how long ago that was. I sat there doing homework for about an hour and a half. Luckily I got all of the homework finished in time for my 4:35 class and made it on time, but it was so hard to get up and go to class! Especially when I knew it wouldn't be as nice by the time I got out of class! Then, to my surprise, I noticed a nice tan line from my t-shirt when I got home. And not only had I gotten some color, but I had gotten a sun burn. I don't think I have ever been so excited to have a sun burn in my life... it was marvelous! Too bad the sun burn has now faded with the spring day... and now it is rainy again, and I am back to being "albino". One day the sun will come back! Or, at least, that's what I keep telling myself.....

There's also been a lot going on in Theta the past few weeks... First, we had Joe (Annie's dad) come and talk and do some pottery demonstrations for us to help us be spiritually uplifted. It was a great night! And we even got to talk about the economy some... Which, in case you didn't know, you are allowed to blame EVERYTHING on! Bad grades? The economy. Got pulled over? The economy. Using a clay bowl as a toaster? The economy. Thanks for the great night!! It really was a blast! Here is Joe placing the proper holes into our "economy"...

And... the finished product... look really hard and you'll see it. It's abstract art...

And here is where our "economy" ended up... in the bucket! And see that little bowl at the top... Now see the little "bowl" inside of that bowl? That's the one I made! And, just for clarification, my piece of clay started out just as big as the rest of them! I just killed it a few times! Even with the "power" (Joe's help) I killed my bowl! The power was just too overwhelming. haha! Gotta love it!

Then, we had an exchange with one of the fraternities, Mu, and had a "birthday party" where we played pin the tail on the donkey, smash the balloons attached to people's legs, musical chairs, and decorated cupcakes. It was a fun filled night and the guys were a lot of fun to be with! It's always fun to go back in time and do those things that we've been missing out on since we were little kids! They've got it so good! :) And Karalee did an awesome job planning everything out for this activity! Thanks girl, you are wonderful!

Then, this past Wednesday was the Spring Banquet, where all the IC girls are released and new ones sustained, and all the new presidents are announced... Surprise! I'm the president of Theta next year! Woot woot! Some of the presidents of other sororities have said they wouldn't want to be in my shoes, but I don't know what I would be doing without Theta next year and I am so grateful that I get to come back and serve these girls in this position again! All my new officers have also been called (they haven't been announced so I can't say names yet though....), and we are going to have an incredible year next year! I am so excited!!!

And the final Theta activity for this blog... (isn't it funny how my blog consists mainly of Theta things... it is true, it HAS taken over my life! And I wouldn't trade it for the world!)... Officer date night! Last night we had five of the officers and their dates over to our apartment and we had an Easter egg hunt, decorated Easter eggs, and played games... It was great... last minute change in plans and craziness. Before everyone came over, Annie, Allie, and I hid all the eggs around the church by our apartment... 86 eggs. Then, when we were finding them, of course it had to be a competition, and we raced... 2 minutes for each couple to get as many eggs as possible. And wouldn't you know, 85 eggs were found! Leave it to us to have a date activity that lasts 2 minutes! haha! As for the 86th egg, it may or may not be hidden around the church somewhere... Lucky little kid that finds that will have such a great Easter! :) The egg decorating lasted a little longer, we had a bunch of different things to decorate the eggs with and it was a lot of fun! Followed by some egg eating... Then the games, we had played catch phrase earlier while waiting for everyone to show up, and then after played killer bunnies... Such an Easter appropriate game, right? I still don't understand the game, and I am still convinced that it is Pokemon in disguise! Everyone seemed to have a good time though, it was a fun night that lasted until 1... sounds like a normal 21 year old's Friday night, no? Unfortunately for us, we had an officer meeting at 6:30 this morning. I guess that is my fault though... Hopefully everyone got to go home and take a nap... Ah, a nap. I think I may go take one myself right now!

I've got a big day ahead of me... Laundry, car serviced, homework, wedding reception, party, and a date. It should be a Fantastic day! And I am sure it will be blogged about sometime in the near future... Especially if all goes according to plan.........

Spring Break Madness.

This much needed spring break has turned out to be a lot more fun than I thought it was going to, considering how it started! Luckily I am feeling a million times better! Still not 100%, but close!! :) (It's about time!)

Anyway...

Yesterday, Annie, Caroline, and I decided we were all going to get our hair done! We went to the "park" (a little area in front of an IHC instacare in Salt Lake, haha!) and took "before" pictures and then the plan was to take "after" pictures but we didn't get finished until it was too dark, so those will come later. We had a blast taking these pictures! It was hilarious!! And where did the frame come from? Well, we've been meaning to take pictures with it for a few months now, and yes, we did walk around Salt Lake carrying it around with us! Here's some of the befores...
Ok, I probably didn't need to put all of those up... but I wanted you to see just how much fun we really did have!! :) It was great... I will put up the "afters" when we take them!

I have more to write but I have to run at the moment... guess I will have to write more tomorrow!

Days of Craziness!!

One of my new goals in life is to take more pictures so that my blog isn't so boring and I can actually put some life back into it. I haven't taken pictures in a while though, so looks like this is going to be another plain post...

Wow! I just realized how much has happened since last time I blogged... you ready for this?!

I went to the Draper temple open house again. So much fun!! There were a ton of people here this time though! We actually had to wait in line and it was FREEZING!!! I guess that's one of the advantages of going during the week... less people! It was still amazing though! It is gorgeous!! :)

I also got the opportunity to go to a fireside at the institute with John Bytheway! It was awesome! I loved it! And we got there early enough to actually get good seats! (that's amazing for us...) It was really fun! And I learned a lot... I love going to firesides! It feels like I go pretty much every week! I guess that is a good thing though! They are so uplifting! Definitely something that helps me get a good start to my week!

Then, for Theta this week, (we had a busy week!) we had a quote exchange on Wednesday, which was so much fun! I love quotes! And I love getting to hear all of the quotes that people bring! They are so uplifting! It's fun! I love my Theta girls! I don't know what I would do without them!!! We had an exchange on Thursday with Xi (one of the frats) and we played games (catch phrase and pictionary)... I discovered that I cannot play teams when I play catch phrase! haha! There were a lot of people playing and I just couldn't keep track of it, but I also just wanted to shout out answers even when it was the other teams turn! So, thanks to me, teams only lasted a few minutes but we had a blast with the guys playing! Good thing none of us are competitive! I always love getting to know more people when we do exchanges! The boy to girl ratio was much more in our favor that night but we all still had a lot of fun, Xi is a great frat! They've got a lot of really fun guys in there! :)

Then, on Friday, Michelle got married... CONGRATS Michelle!!! I didn't get to go to her reception because I was so sick, but I heard she was gorgeous and I don't doubt it! I'm sure she looked amazing! Wish I could've been there!! I went to the GNO at one of the Theta girl's houses after though and we played catch phrase again (I love that game!). It was a lot of fun! Thanks for letting us use your house, Mal! And thanks for all of you girls who came and made it so much fun! I always love getting to hang out with you girls!! They really are an amazing group of girls!!

On Saturday we had our "March birthday party" for the fam... Me, Nicole, Pat, and David... luckily, only 4 of the March birthdays live in Utah! ;) It was a lot of fun! Annie came with me and got to meet the fam for the first time... She also got to see how much we eat when we get together! Now I have a witness!! If anyone doubts it, ask her! :) I am pretty sure I gained like 12 pounds that night! Sadly, I couldn't even taste most of the food but it was still fun to eat, and eat, and eat some more! :) It was a lot of fun to get to spend some time with my family too! Since I moved to Salt Lake, I don't see them too much! Thanks for the awesome birthday dinner, Grandpa! It was amazing, as always!!!

Yesterday, (getting close to finishing up the past week...) I got the chance to go to Amber's farewell. She is another one of my Theta girls and she is leaving on Wednesday to go to Nauvoo on her mission! She will make a great missionary and we are all really excited for her! Congrats, Amber! You will do awesome out there!! :)

Ok... today! :) I was supposed to go to Manti for a few days with Annie, but thanks to me being sick, that didn't happen :(... but I did get the opportunity to spend the day with my mom because she had the day off work. I've had pink eye for the past few days and it just isn't going away... I think I've washed my hands 2 million times since Friday when I found out that's what I had! The doctor said it should only last a few days... I'm still trying to figure out what "a few days" means! Hopefully it will be gone before Thursday! I have to go get my drivers' license renewed and I haven't worn makeup in four days! I guess I might just have to suck it up and go buy new stuff if it's not gone by Thursday! On the brighter side, that could be kind of fun! :) I guess we'll see what happens!

Wow... Once again, a novel! Oh well! This is more for me than anyone else, so I guess it's ok! :) I'm sure I will have a lot more to write after this week! :)

Time for a Slow Down...

2 posts in a week... Amazing! :) haha!

The past few days have been crazy so I thought I would write it all down so I could get all of the thoughts out of my head...

Jamie and Blaine got married yesterday. She is truly amazing and I am so excited for her!! Her reception was beautiful, and wow... Jamie looked incredible! Congrats, again Jamie! I love you! :)

After the reception, I was able to spend some time talking to Allie, also amazing! I don't think I have laughed that hard in a long time! Between the car ride back from the reception with Erin and Allie and then the hour and a half chat with Allie after, my abs got a great workout! I got a lot off my chest last night, and it was nice to talk to someone about everything that is going on who doesn't have some sort of bias as to what happens with my life. I feel a lot better about a lot of situations right now, and I feel like I have a little bit more of a grip on life at the moment (it's still only a tiny grip on life, but I'm not worried about it right now). She is hilarious and I just love being able to laugh and cry and cry from laughing so hard and talk to her all at the same time. It was much needed and I am extremely grateful for that friendship right now!

Then, today, I went on a date, which was a lot of fun... We went to the planetarium at the Gateway and walked around for a few hours. I felt like a little kid again. It was great! I got to take my mind off of everything else that was going on and just enjoy myself for a few hours, it was great! And, it was a very educational date... I learned a lot by walking around and reading all the signs... ok... maybe not a lot, and maybe I didn't really learn much, more like I remembered stuff that I had learned way back in the day when I was in high school. ;) It was a lot of fun! But, my favorite part of all was definitely the huge thing where all of the balls go around and spin and drop and hit bells and make noises (I have no idea what to call this thing), I was entertained for probably an hour by this thing! It was awesome! I want one in my house! (one of my new goals in life!) I would never be bored!! :) And it was FREE.... what more could someone ask for?!?!

Later today, I went to Krista's birthday party! She turns 30 on Sunday and had a party at Fat Cats tonight... It was a lot of fun! We bowled one game in about 2 hours... Longest game ever, but it was a ton of fun! And, sadly, I haven't bowled that bad in a long time! I bowled a 91... wow! Go me! I got to see Krista (been way too long!) and I got to see Aimee, and Cat!! I love my Theta girls! They make my day all the time!!! I love you all... and I love you Krista!! HAPPY BIRHTDAY!!!

Also today, when I came home, I thought I would be productive so, naturally, I got on facebook! Usually, not a whole lot of good can come from this, but today I read a note from someone that made me realize that I have been too caught up in everything going on in the world around me, and I haven't spent enough time paying attention to the blessings that I have in my life right now. I really need to slow down and smell the roses, because life is just passing by and I realized today that I am missing a lot because I have been in survival mode for so long. But that is changing starting today! Living in the moment... This note really hit me hard for some reason so I am putting it on here!

Business and Blessings...

Wow... Only slightly over two months since last time I blogged. My life has been too busy to even think about blogging! But I guess that is what happens when you are working, and taking 17 hours in school, and the president of a sorority. Who knew those things would take up so much of my time, and in turn, leave no time for blogging?! I sure didn't! But I thought I would give everyone a heads up on what it's like in the life of someone who literally doesn't even have time for sleep...

Since December...

I have started my last Spring semester of college as an undergrad! I am officially graduating in December 2009!** I am taking classes that have quite the work load and cause me to stay up until all hours of the night because there aren't enough hours in the day to do everything for them. Luckily, I have friends that are keeping me afloat right now!

Then, I have work... Luckily, only working two days a week now. I still love working with Mike but there is no way I would be surviving this semester if I was working more! It's nice going to work though, Mike, and Sue definitely help with keeping me sane right now! Haha! Especially on days like today where I had work from 7:50-5:00 and sorority from 6:00-10:00... Luckily it was the sisterhood fireside/service project and was amazing! But I was out dancing with one of my dear friends that I have met through Lambda Delta Sigma until 1:00 last night! So, needless to say, I was exhausted all day! But on the plus side... I learned a bunch of line dances last night! And I got flipped while dancing... so fun, and totally worth being exhausted!!

I have now been president (while the sorority is actually in full swing) for 2 months... and WOW! What a blessing it has been! I have grown so much in that short period of time, that I cannot wait to see how much more I grow over the next year! Sure, it is stressful, and leaves little time for other things, but my organizational skills have increased immensely (although, I have always been somewhat of an organized person), and my people skills... well let's just say, I think I am a LOT less socially awkward than I used to be! :) I am way more outgoing and willing to step out of my comfort zone than I was even six months ago. It is amazing to me how much someone can change in such a short period of time. I have also made a ton of new friends through the program that I don't know what I would do without! They are amazing people and I have grown so much and have had a countless number of prayers answered through them! It's true what they say, the difference between 18 and 21 is huge! And, to top it all off... within the last few months I have become very grateful for Andrew being gone. Yeah, it's hard, and yeah, I still miss him... But wow! How different would my life be if he hadn't gone?! Same for his... the benefits definitely outway the costs (can you tell I'm in an econ class? ;) )!!

Aside from all of the blessings and benefits, the sorority keeps me super busy! This week I have had stuff Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday (so far) and have stuff Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday again... and next week looks about the same! This definitely has not helped at all with getting things finished for my classes, but keeps me sane through the rest of life... Oh... and... Jamie (Theta's last pres) is getting married tomorrow!!! Congrats Jamie! I love you! (priceless picture! Taken forever ago... but still really funny!)

Well, that is really all that is going on with me right now! Haha... all? Anyway, things are crazy and super busy and totally insane, but life is fantastic right now and I wouldn't change a thing! Except maybe adding a few hours to the day! And, possibly, finding another roommate! If anyone knows of anyone looking for somewhere to live in Salt Lake, send them my way!

I would just like to end with the very wise, all knowing fortune that I received in my fortune cookie last Saturday: "If you go fishing, your catch will be plentiful"

Now, I hope that when you read that your face did the same, huh? expression that mine did! I have never had a fortune that was so insightful! Although, a few people told me I just needed to look at it differently, like, going fishing for men... and wow, did that make all the difference! My fortune has come true! And it makes me laugh, a lot! But that is a whole nother story, for a whole nother day! (Just for you, Mike)

Winter Break... so far...

Winter break has been awesome so far!! And, yay, 2 more weeks left! I don't have to go back to school until January 12!

Sara's schedule for the break:

December 20- Drive 11 hours to San Diego then chill in the hotel for the night...

December 21- Hang out with mom, then go to the "Christmas Boat Parade" at the beach. I didn't get any good pictures of this one but it was so cool! Some people are just so festive!

December 22-Sea World!! I love dolphins!! They are so fun to watch and I think they're so cute! :) I even got to feed a few! I loved it!!This was pre- dolphin/whale show... Notice how we're already wearing ponchos... it was raining, so the kids (and me) figured hey, we're already wet, why not sit in the soak zone?? Haha! We were drenched! It was so much fun... till the sun went down! Then it was a little cold!And this was from the parents' angle... see the people with the umbrellas down in the front? We were the people in front of those people! Like I said, we were drenched!I wish you could see this picture better! But that's me... petting a sting ray!

December 23- Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego!! TCU vs Boise State (TCU won by the way, and we are determined that it is because Boise State has such ugly colors)! We sat on the 50 yard line!! But then the players kinda thought we were in the way and we moved to the stands ;) and sat in the front row! Talk about fun seats!! Nicole got to dance in the half time show... and if you look beyond the people in this picture and look at the little red dots on the field you might be able to find her! They did such a great job! And Nicole was even on the big screen a couple of times! What a great experience! Followed by 4 1/2 hours of driving north to head to Sacramento-ish to visit family! We stayed in Lost City, California and the motel was disgusting! But it was late and we were exhausted so we stayed there anyway! It was only for a few hours anyway...

December 24- Merry Christmas Eve!! We woke up and drove 4 1/2 more hours to my grandparents new house! It's so cute and we had fun hanging out with them for a while. Then my aunt, uncle, and cousins came over and we ate dinner and played games. It was a blast! I hadn't seen my cousins in forever! Then, at like 9:00 pm, my mom and I went Christmas shopping at Walgreens! Nothing like some last minute Christmas shopping!

December 25- Merry Christmas!! Santa found us in California! We went through our stockings and found lots of fun stuff then went to church and then went over to my 2nd cousin, twice removed's house... only joking! She's just our second cousin! We had a big party with a bunch of the family! It was great! Some of them I hadn't seen since I was really little! My sister even had to be re-introduced to a bunch of them! Crazy stuff! I guess some of them should come visit more often! haha! Sadly, this was the best picture of all of us taken on my camera. Get a bunch of kids together and try to get a good picture... probably not! You can't even see Lindsey's face! That's ok though! We all had lots of fun hanging out and catching up on the last 5 years of our lives! The four 1st cousins... and yep! That's all of them on my mom's side! :)December 26- Hang out with the fam all day! :)

December 27- Drive 10 hours back to Utah... (did anyone count how many hours in the car that was??)

December 28- Aaron's homecoming.... CRAZY! It's amazing how fast time flies when you're not waiting for someone... Welcome home Aaron!!

December 29- Work a million hours! Ok, maybe not a million, but it sure seemed like it! We were crazy busy! I guess that's a good thing though! And, luckily, I have the rest of the week off to recover from the crazy day!

Well, that's Winter break so far... But with 2 more weeks left, I'm sure there will be a lot more fun adventures to blog about! And, just a thought, maybe I should blog more often so that my posts aren't so long that no one reads them anyway! I can handle it though! This is more for me than for anyone else!! :)

Yay! It has officially been 365 days since Andrew left!!! CRAZINESS!!! I've been a little grumpy building up to this day but today I am deciding to look at the situation in a glass half full way! So YAY for the half way mark!!! :) It's hard to believe I haven't seen him for a year now! But he is loving the work and is where he is supposed to be right now so it's ok! And, hey, only one year left, right?!On Wednesday we had our officer Christmas party for the Theta officers from Fall semester! It was a ton of fun! I really have grown to love each and every one of those girls so much and I can't believe how much change there is going to be for Spring! I am really excited for that semester too, but it is going to be so different! And I want all of you girls to know that I love you so much and will miss seeing you all every week! I hope I still see all of you around all the time! You girls are amazing! Anyway, Natalie made dinner for us, and it was AMAZING!!! And we all sat around talking and sharing memories of Christmas, it was such a great night! Then we gave our gifts and had a blast seeing what everyone got! Erin, is incredible, and got me a blanket and a little pillow that she put my name on! It was so cute and it matched my stuff so well....

I don't have the pillow that Andrew made me up there because it's packed right now but the pink stuff that she got me is so cute! I love it!! Thank you so much, Erin!

Then, we took a picture of all of the officers because we somehow didn't get one all semester! Which is my fault considering I'm the historian but it's ok! We finally got one! Then, when I was looking at the pictures later that night, I couldn't find myself in the picture and made the mistake of thinking outloud! I said, "Sometimes I forget who I am in pictures because I forget that I have brown hair." Which is true! I had blonde hair for so long that it is weird seeing pictures of myself with brown hair! However, I got made fun of a lot for that one! I really need to learn not to say things outloud! But it was ok! I still love Erin, and the night wouldn't have been complete if I hadn't been made fun of by her and Allie! I love you girls!!!

Last night, we finally took our heart attack off of our door and we heart attacked everyone on the bottom two floors of our building! It was a lot of fun! And when I was taking all of the hearts off the door, I was thinking about how it would be so much easier if we didn't have to re-tape them, so I stuck them to myself. I did not realize how many hearts there really were but it was fun anyway! I looked crazy! But what's new?!

Guess what.... the apartment is leaking... AGAIN!!! No fun! We just had a little drop in the middle of our living room and didn't think it was a big deal. When we talked to the apartment guys they looked at it and seemed pretty concerned. When they came to check it out, they found 5 leaks! Yep! Five! How lame! We had to rearrange our furniture and couldn't use our living room for a while. We gave up and just stuck our stuff where we wanted it anyway last night but apparently the leaks are "more extensive than they were anticipating" so they have a lot of work to do! Does anyone else think we should be getting a discount or something for our apartment because of all of the leakage??? I do!! This is just one of the "little" areas of our leaking ceiling right now!

Last night, Annie threw a Christmas party at our apartment! It was a blast! We played games and hung out and Annie made an amazing dinner for us! Thanks girl!! We really loved it! She is so cute and wouldn't let us help her with anything! Sadest part of the break this year... Annie and I aren't going to see each other for 22 days!! I'm going to California and then she is going to Mexico and they barely overlap! Hopefully I don't forget who she is and we can still be friends when she gets home! Haha! Love you Annie!!

It has lots of pictures that you can't see in this picture but the best part is all of the pictures that have been colored for me by my nieces (yes... I'm calling them MY nieces! Fall Semester 2008.... Check!

WAHOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Fall semester is officially over! I took my last final today at 7:00. One more thing checked off my to-do list! I am so excited! Now I can focus on Christmas and getting ready for next semester!

I didn't really have a lot to write today but I thought I would put up a little update since I am going to California on Saturday and probably won't write again for a while!

Things are going really well! I had my first meeting as president for Theta last weekend, and it went better than expected. I still have a lot to learn! And I should probably work on staying on topic better but the meeting was a lot of fun! I am finished with this semester in school! YAY! Only two more semesters left! (Can you say, "light at the end of the tunnel"?!?!) Things are going well at work too... We've only had a lot of disgustingness this week! haha! Luckily I have a boss who is willing to let me close my eyes while he does all the disgusting stuff, and he even cleans up after! Am I an awesome assistant or what?! Last week I also had the chance to go pick some names off of the Angel Tree. I got to go shopping for a brother and sister and I felt like I was really making a difference. I had a ton of fun shopping for them! It is definitely going to be a new tradition for me! My family usually does something for a family every Christmas, but this year it was fun to go and do it on my own and know that I was doing it because I wanted to and not because my parents were doing it! And, like I said, I am going to California on Saturday! My sister is dancing in the half time show at the Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego and then we are going up to visit some family for Christmas! It is going to be a lot of fun! A lot of quality time with mom and the sis in the car! Should be good times!
I also just wanted to show how festive we are in my apartment! Look at that beautiful, pink, Christmas tree! Very me! I love it! And the awesome red ornaments and Santa hat! How fun! And, I just want to point out the Christmas lights in the background! We really are pretty festive around here! It is so much fun! Too bad I didn't take a picture of the tree from a different angle, you would be able to see our Thankful Tree that is still up on our wall... Apparently we aren't finished being thankful yet!

Well, I think that's all I've got for today! Hopefully it won't be too long before I have a chance to write again! But, just in case... 3 more days and it's hump day!!! I think I might be more excited for that than I am for Christmas! :)

Well, it's official! I am the President of Theta! :) Fun stuff! I am so excited! Next semester is going to be awesome! The girls are so great, and wow, I'm just excited!! (Because I don't have enough to do already!)

These were the gifts from tonight...

I got the tulips (bright pink... Perfect!! :) and the gavel as President presents. The gavel has my name engraved on it and is awesome! It's fun! I love that I have something like that to keep forever to remember this! The thing on the left in the top picture is a nativity scene made out of rocks! It is pretty sweet! Natalie, the Theta advisor, spent who knows how long making them for all of us! She is amazing and so are they! Thank you, Natalie! And thank you to all of the Theta girls for making this night incredible for me! I love you all!!

The past few weeks have been insane! What's new though! haha! I am still super busy with school and work and sorority (even moreso now!) But this semester is almost over and then I will have a break for a few weeks!! At least from school! :) Yay! Although, I'm not ready for finals at all so that's not good... but hey, I have a week and a half left, right?!

Oh, and today at work, we had a Long day! Mike and I were definitely done by the end of it! We were laughing about some dumb things! haha! And, Mike, you can't complain about me not writing anything about work on my blog anymore! Now, go work on your ISpy skills! :)

Ps... Does anyone remember what onomatopoeia means?? Apparently it has been too long since I have been in high school english!

November 27 already... That just seems crazy to me! Does it seem crazy to anyone else??

Anyway, I am grateful for so many things in my life right now.....

I am grateful for my family! They are amazing and they are so supportive of everything that I do. I can always count on them to be there for me through everything! I am grateful for my wonderful friends! I have so many friends that are ready and willing to help me through everything that I go through! You are all amazing! I have made so many new friends through Theta and I don't know what I would do without them. They are such a strength in my life and they have definitely helped me through some crazy stuff! Thanks girls! I am grateful for my awesome roommates! Annie is such an amazing person! She has kept me sane through some tough times in the last few months! I am so grateful that we have become such great friends! You're amazing Annie! Love you!! Caroline is also awesome! She has been so fun to live with and I'm grateful for all of the fun times that we have together. I am grateful for Jamie and her love and support for me! She is such a strong person and has really helped me want to be a better person! Love ya Jamie! I'm grateful for Andrew and his willingness to serve a mission. I am grateful for his strength and his testimony! I am so lucky to have him in my life, even if he is really far away right now and for the next lots of months! ;) I am grateful for Andrew's family and their love for me! They have been so great in helping me get through the hard parts of missing Andrew. They have taken me in and been such a great example of what I want my family to be like when I grow up! I love you guys!! I am grateful for so much more than this list but I feel like I am rambling, so I'll stop now.

Our Thankful Tree has turned out pretty awesome! We don't ever let anyone leave our apartment without making a leaf or two! We even have leaves on our tree from Tennessee! :) Having this tree in our apartment has really made me realize how much I have to be grateful for! We're not taking it down yet, I have a feeling it will be up for a while so, like I said before, if anyone wants to make some leaves you should!!
I love you all! And I hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving!!!!

Annie and I had so much fun at the game together! Being in the MUSS is awesome! We both left with sore voices! The game was AMAZING though!!! Sorry to all you BYU fans....... Just thought I would rub that in... :)And this is after the game when we rushed the field! It was CRAZY!!! I love football! Too bad it took me so long to find out about this love! Andrew probably would have enjoyed that! Haha! Anyway... SO excited that Utah won!! GOOOO UTES!!!!

Battle of the Chapters!... And more...

BATTLE OF THE CHAPTERS!! Fun Day! And most importantly, our team won! That's two years in a row for Theta! :) It was definitely a lot of fun! We didn't have as many of our girls from the chapter as we were planning on but it was still great!

The point of Battle of the Chapters is to collect as much food as possible for the Utah Food Bank! Our team kicked trash at this part! We went out and collected food and we showed up with a TON of food last night! You get points for all of the food that you bring and then points for winning the game... And I'll be honest, our team didn't do very well at the games last night, but we had so much food it didn't really matter! And, as some of us decided after we found out we won, it really is about the food and our team definitely worked together to get all of that food... So we were ok with that being the reason we won! :)

There were a lot of fun activities like crab soccer, relay races, some geography game, and a "how many people can you fit in this area" game... That's what these pictures are from... we had 2 minutes to get as many people as we could into a taped area on the floor (both feet had to be on the ground at all times, and then we had to hold it for a minute! It was crazy! But our team won this game...

This was our Theta group that was there! You guys are awesome! Way to pitch in and help our team to victory.... again!

The rest of these pictures are just kinda random. At one of our Theta activities we had a huge group hug because we love our president so much and she is leaving us to go get married! How dare you, Jamie! Only joking! (I love that that's why we were doing this and why we were taking the picture and you can't even see Jamie in the picture!) She will definitely be missed but I'm sure she could feel the love in this...

This one is kind of back tracking a little bit but it's been a while since I wrote on here so that's ok! Our sorority had a movie night one night and Jamie and I had been out shopping that day so we decided we should go to the DI and buy some new clothes for the movie night! We had so much fun! And when people started asking us the occasion (while we were at Dan's buying some milk), we couldn't think of anything, so we looked one up. Well it just so happened to be the 157th anniversary of the printing of Moby Dick. So, that became the occasion! And, yes, we did get funny looks when we said that!
Ok, last picture... This was at the exchange that we had with one of the fraternities last week. The activity was a lot of fun! We had a turkey coloring contest and a rice crispy treat carving contest, and watched the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving movie! It was good times for sure! This picture has nothing to do with any of that actually... But it was taken at that activity! :)
Obviously I love this girl! I always have random pictures of us on my blog! haha! She is really an amazing President and has become one of my closest friends! Now she's going off and getting married, but hey, I'm going to be her roommate-in-law, so it's ok! (to explain... her sister-in-law to be is my roommate, therefore, I will be her roommate-in-law!) Fun times and Craziness!!

The beginning of November has been as busy as ever! But we've been having lots of fun down here!

The month started out with an amazing fireside with Jill Stevens that was put on by Lambda Delta Sigma. If you don't know who Jill Stevens is, you are missing out! She was Miss Utah last year and served in Iraq when she was 20. Basically, she is SuperWoman and I want to be her! Anyway, she told us about a "Thankful Tree" that she made while she was in Iraq and we thought it was such a good idea that Annie and I spent our Saturday making one!

This is the beginning of the tree. The idea is that everyday you write on a leaf something that you are thankful for! We've had a bunch of people over since the tree was made and we were making up for the days in November that we made so our tree is slowly gathering leaves! Now it looks like this...

We have had so much fun with it already! I can't wait fot the tree to grow! If anyone wants to contribute a leaf to the tree let me know! :)

Moving on in the month, last Friday we had a sorority temple night! We were supposed to go to the Salt Lake Temple but because of the protestors and a lot of consideration, and a lot of phone calls between me and the sorority president and our advisors, we ended up splitting up our group and going to either the Jordan River Temple or Bountiful. We didn't want to chance anything down town but we also didn't want to let the protestors keep us from going to the temple! Hopefully all of this stuff won't go much farther! Anyway, I went to Jordan River and we had a great time! This is me and Annie on our way out the door. I love this girl!!

And this is the group at the temple... Cat, Michelle, Jamie, Andrea, Annie, and me! Jamie's fiance, Blaine, was with us too but he was nice and offered to take the picture! Thanks Blaine!

Then... on Saturday morning we did part of our service project for one of our activities. We dropped off bags and flyers for the Utah vs BYU food drive! We're hoping to collect lots of food when we go pick up the food next week! If anyone wants to donate cans of food, let me know!! This was part of our group hanging out in the car waiting for the other half! (We were faster than the other group, not just being lazy! Just thought I would clarify! )

The next few pictures were in honor of Andrew! He always sends me pictures and says that they "only happen in Tennessee"... well, I think these prove that Utah can be just as funny as Tennessee sometimes! And yes, that is a couch on their driveway. Because the family room would be much to logical of a place to put your couch! I just thought the flamingo in the yard was funny! There were actually quite a few of them in the yard! I should've knocked on the door and gotten some decorating tips for my apartment!

And, finally, I got a calling today! I am now a ward missionary! I totally have time for that! :) But it will be good for me! I am actually pretty excited! It's going to be crazy though, the ward mission leader and one of the other ward missionaries are getting married in the next few months! Oh, the joys of being in a student ward!

The next few weeks should be pretty fun! We're all pretty excited for Thanksgiving and my roommates are finally letting me listen to Christmas music in the apartment! It's going to be a fantastic month and a half!!! :D

The Rest of October...

Once again it has been way too long since I have posted anything on my blog! Apparently my schedule is still just a lot too hectic to try and fit blogging in there! And I don't think things are going to get any better in the near future so I guess you will all just have to live with only knowing what is going on in my life some of the time!

The past few weeks have been full of sorority activities, midterms, semester assignments.... So fun!

We had a self defense night in Theta! It was a blast! And let me tell you, all you bad guys out there should be scared! I know my moves!

Then last week we had a flower passing (which means someone in our sorority got engaged)... And... Jamie (the president) is engaged! She is so cute! And her fiance is my roommate's brother! Crazy connections! Anyway, Congratulations, Jamie!

And then there was Halloween! So much fun!!! I got to go see the Smith's while they were trick-or-treating for a little while and they had the cutest costumes! I had so much fun getting to hang out with them, even if it was only for a little while! Thanks guys! :) Then I got sent home with a loaf of friendship bread that I basically ate all by myself! Thanks Dianne! I guess I am going to need to diet for a week or two to make up for that one! After I came home, I went to a party that the frats throw... The party was fun, but the best part by far was just getting to dress up! I love dressing up for Halloween! I think it is so much fun! Here are some of those pictures....

Possibly the Longest Post EVER....

Well, I promised I would try to put up a post soon and I'm just now getting around to it... So I have decided that the best way to explain everything that has been missed would be with pictures! So, here goes nothin'...

For "Crimson Nights" (one of the big parties that the U has once a month), the LDS sororities were in charge of the cake walk, and therefore, in charge of the "cakes", for some reason or another I volunteered to help out with this in all of my spare time! ;) However, we did have a lot of fun at my apartment making the cupcakes!! The first picture here is Aimee, Annie (my roommate), and me with our lovely cupcakes! The second picture is Annie really wanting to eat the cupcakes we made! haha! So fun!!!This picture was taken at the LDSSA BBQ! haha! What a mouthful of letters! It stands for the LDS Student Association (at the institute at the U) BBQ (I'm assuming you can figure out what those letters mean!) We had a blast dancing and hanging out and eating at this party! It's a good thing I got into this sorority stuff or I would have no social life! :)This picture was taken at the Membership Ceremony for Theta! So much fun!!! I love all of these girls! They are AMAZING!!...And this was at Powderpuff!! Haha! We tied our first game and lost the second! But we won the Sportsmanship award and that's all that really counts, right?!? Plus one of our star players was unknowingly playing with a broken arm! We have to get extra points for that somewhere! So much fun stuff to do, it's a wonder how I fit all of these things into my already craZy schedule!The U decided to give the institute free tickets to one of the volleyball games for anyone who wanted to go... so of course all of the students at the institute said, "Free?! Will there be food? Let's go!!" The group that went to the game together from the institute was huge and I doubt the volleyball team has ever had that much support at a game! We all had a blast and cheered like crazy! (Funny part is that students at the U get into these games free anyway and yet everyone gets excited if they give them to the institute for free! haha!) These are all of the girls from my sorority that were there! We're so cute!! :)Last one of sorority stuff I promise... This is the Barn Dance! And you can tell from the quality of the pictures that we really were dancing... in a barn! It was a blast! It got really dusty from all of us stomping around in the dirt, and washing it out of my hair was a nightmare but it was so much fun! We had a caller there and we all square danced! Imagine that! A bunch of twenty-something year olds all square dancing in a barn on a Friday night... Funny stuff! Oh, and the first picture is just because Jamie and I like to take pictures of ourselves! :)

Ok, moving away from sorority stuff... This is taken in front of the Salt Lake Temple... We (Caroline, Annie, and I) went to regional conference for our region with the missionaries that are serving in our ward... Sister Lilly and Sister McLean... it was an amazing conference! I love the conference center and I love getting to go and listen to all of the awesome talks!! :)
Wow, the fun never stops does it? Haha! Yeah, I don't think it does either! Gotta love it! My sister and I went to the opening game in the Rio Tinto Stadium (Real Salt Lake's new stadium for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about...) It was really cool and our seats were pretty good... Too bad they tied at this game! It would have been fun to see them win at the opening game, but hey, at least they didn't lose!! :)Don't worry... It's not always fun and games for me! Although I always take pictures at the fun stuff so it's easy to pretend it is! ;) The Sunday of general conference my roommate and I woke up to a waterfall in our room! It was no good! And it kept us up forever! Then when the maintenance people came over all they did was poke a hole in it and say they would come fix it later in the week (think they've fixed it yet???) So now we have a slightly smaller bubble in our ceiling because the paint has dried and stuff but there's still a big hole in the middle of our room! haha! Good thing we aren't looking for another roommate or anything! Perfect timing! Of course! But hey, obviously it hasn't gotten to me too much!

Was I right or was I right? Totally WAY long post but I couldn't just do a slide show... I had to explain all of the pictures! I am having so much fun down in Salt Lake and my crazy life won't be slowing anytime soon! I love it! Good thing I have this week off of school to kind of catch up on things like sleep! Haha... that's quite the thought! I should look into catching up on some of that! :)

PS... Today is the 3 year anniversary of my first kiss with a certain boy who happens to be in Tennessee right now... Yeah, I know... Why am I even putting that on my blog?? Because I'm excited! I love days that totally remind me of him! Aw... Haha!

It's Only Been A Month...

So, funny story...

I have been ridiculously busy lately! End of story... funny, huh? Just kidding! I haven't even had time to think about blogging and kind of forgot that I had a blog for a little while! I know, hard to believe... But I was in my computer class yesterday and the guy in front of me pulled up his blog and I was like "Oh my goodness! I have one of those!" It was definitely one of those 'aha' moments! So, now I remember and still don't have any time! But I thought I would put a little post up so you all know that I am still alive and well! I'll try to do another post soon! :)

College Experience...

It's true! I am officially getting the FULL college experience right now! For those of you who do not know what I am talking about, I'll explain:

I am too busy to even have time to sleep! Time that would normally be occupied by sleep is now filled with things like homework, class, eating, and sorority stuff! And I have millions of hours of homework everyday! Who knew there were that many hours in a day? I certainly didn't! But, no worries, I've learned that quickly over the past two weeks (and the fact that it has only been two weeks is mind boggling for me)!

But... I think that the thing that is really making sure I have the real college experience is the apartment life! I love my roommates! They're great people and I have learned so much about myself and grown so much in already! They really are amazing girls! But more than that, we've got the whole "poor college student" thing going for us! Example #1:

This is what our kitchen consists of right now! (That's macaroni and cheese by the way) Along with our variety of dishes that have come from where ever we could get them, and our patio furniture that we use for our kitchen table! And our little "pet" that our tv has been named because it is so little, but hey, the fact that we have a tv at all is something to be grateful for!!

Just so you all don't freak out too much... Here's example #2 and 3:

Our cabinets don't really only have macaroni and cheese in them, we have a nice variety of top ramen and rice in there too! ;) Too be honest, we are probably set for months with our food that we have right now! Annie (my roommate) and I discovered that we are pretty much excellent bargain shoppers when it comes to grocery shopping! We stocked up at Wal Mart with a completely overflowing cart that cost us less than $20 per person! It was pretty amazing! And we were pretty excited about it! Especially now that we have choices for dinner! It's fantastic!

Well, that's all I've got for the college experience right now... It's been awesome so far and it's only been two weeks so I guess we'll see what happens in the next year! Our apartment is definitely a work in progress but we love it! You should all come visit sometime (that's a real offer)!!! We'd even make you dinner! (we might even go all out and make something other than mac and cheese!)

Sorority RUSH!!

THETA GIRLS!!

Sorority Rush was on Tuesday, we had so much fun getting to know all of the girls that were joining the Lambda Delta Sigma program. Our sorority (Theta) got three new members that we got to meet and spend more time with on Thursday. Annie, Darcee, and Cate are awesome girls and I am so excited to get to have them in Theta and get to know them more! Obviously, from the picture, we have a great time! And lucky for me, I am the Theta historian now so I can be camera happy and it's ok because hey, it's part of my calling! :)

We had a lot of fun setting up the room for the girls (maybe a little too much fun!) We had the balloons and the streamers all over the place, and for some reason the balloons were miniature in size (apparently like my personality, says Andrea, but because they're cute, not because they're little. Haha!) Can you tell that we have tons of fun?! These girls are awesome!

When the girls first got introduced to all of us we played a "name game" where you basically beat each other over the head with a rolled up newspaper if someone says your name and you don't hurry and say someone else's name (I got hit in the head a lot! Thanks Jamie!) It was a really fun game though and I hope we didn't scare any of the new girls too much! Haha!

Jamie is our president, and she is amazing! I am so glad that I joined Theta and got a chance to meet her! I felt like we clicked right from the start and I always felt like I could go to her for anything! She is honestly such an amazing person and I am so grateful for the opportunity to get to be an officer with her and spend LOTS and LOTS of time with her (especially all of those early Monday mornings)!! Love ya Jamie!! :)

Well, now that I have written such a long post I guess I will leave it at that. I really love these girls and I am so excited to get the chance to get to know every one of them better this semester! We are going to have so much fun! I really don't know what I would do without these girls. They are amazing! And it is so nice to be able to have a night of the week when I can go and spend time with people that I know have the same values as me and not have to worry about anything else! With all of the stresses of school and work and just life in general, having a few hours a week to spend thinking about nothing but how much fun you are having is such a blessing! Lambda Delta Sigma has most certainly changed my life in SO many ways! I am grateful for everything it has given to me! Even just the first week of school has been so much fun with these girls! I can't wait for the next few months!! :)

WOW! Life is so crazy right now! I can't believe I'm even spending time writing this post today! 5 minutes of downtime and I felt the need to write on my blog, a little pathetic if you ask me, but I'll get over it!

So, school finally started on Monday and my classes are going well. They are going to be crazy and take a LOT of work (to do in my spare time), but they should be pretty fun. I am taking human development which is basically going to be a repeat of things I have already learned in other classes! I'm also taking computer essentials, which I am pretty sure I took in high school but it is a pre req for my minor so I have no choice with that one! Then I'm taking stats (math and no Andrew, this could be interesting ;) ), a consumer class that I have to take for my major and then the fun one... ASL (American Sign Language)! I am so excited about this class! My professor seems really nice and he's pretty funny and I am just really excited to get to learn to sign! I have wanted to forever and never been able to fit it in my schedule so it will be awesome!

Also, it's official now, I am the historian of the Theta chapter! I am in charge of taking pictures and all that sort of fun stuff! :) It will be great, and Megan will do a great job being secretary! It's interesting how I was called to be secretary for the summer... But I loved every minute of it so I'm glad I had the chance! This week with sorority things has been crazy as well! Yesterday was RUSH! Andrea did a great job putting things together and it went really well! I only got to be there for a little bit of it because I had class but it was really fun! Hopefully all of the girls that were there will be able to find a sorority that they feel like they'll fit in! And I can't wait to get to meet all of the girls that will be joining our chapter tomorrow! It will be so much fun to get to know all kinds of new girls! I love the Lambda Delta Sigma program! It is so nice to be able to take a night out of the week and just go have fun with the girls and be able to spend time with people that have the same values and goals as I do! I have made so many friends there and I know I always looked up to all of the officers last year and I'm excited to be one of those people that the girls can look up to! This semester is going to be Crazy! And so much fun! I can't wait for it to get started!

Well that's pretty much it in a nutshell... Add work into the equation and I pretty much don't get to see a whole lot of my apartment but that is ok! At least I am living so close to everything now and I don't have to make the long drive from Layton! Oh, that's another thing that has been going on this week, I moved to my apartment! I'll put pictures and stuff up so everyone can see it when we finish unpacking! For right now we live in a maze of boxes but at least all of our stuff is moved in and in the apartment.... Somewhere! It's a really slow moving process because we are all so busy but we all have Friday off, maybe we will be able to get everything finished!

This semester and year are going to be so interesting and super crazy! Hopefully it will make time go by fast!! ;) I can't wait to see what happens in the next few months with life and all of it's craziness! Well, I'm off to work! Hopefully with my crazy schedule I'll be able to find time to keep writing on my blog! I'll keep working on that! :)

Texts books.... Ugh!

Well, I thought it was time to buy my text books since school starts in a week and a half... $330.80!!! And guess how many books that was for... Three! I know what you're thinking, that's ridiculous! And if you weren't thinking that you should have been! I was a little shocked at how much I had to spend on a few hundred pieces of paper! Do you think the bookstore would just let me go sit in the text book section and study during the year? It'd save me a whole lot of money! Or maybe I should go photocopy all my books and then return them? Is that legal? Ok, maybe I won't do that one! If only I had a money tree this wouldn't be a problem! If anyone figures that one out could you let me know?! I want in on it!
Maybe I'll go write a text book or two! I'll make millions! Then I won't need the money tree! I'd have it covered! ;) Anyone have any suggestions on what I should write this text book on? I'm sure I'll be able to turn some skill that I have into a 700 page book! And I can even throw some blank pages in there to help jack the price up!

It's true! I've finally been sucked into the blogging world! It will be fun though! There are so many crazy things going on in my life right now, it will be fun to have some way to remember all of them! (Hopefully I'll be better at this than writing in my journal!) As for my blog title, there are lots of stories that go into it! Lots of people know bits and pieces of the story, I think, and I'm sure lots of people just think I'm a little nuts, but if anyone wants the whole story just let me know! It's a fun one! :)

Now it's time for crazy story #1... I started work as a dental assistant on Monday, for those of you that know me, I didn't ever think I would be able to handle that either! But I love it! I have had so much fun and I am really excited to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Smith ;) (Thanks Mike and Tai for thinking of me!!) And as crazy as all of that sounds, that's not the crazy story! So, on Monday (my first day) I was standing over Mike's shoulder watching him do a procedure on a patient and I must have had my knees locked or something because, yep, I passed out! Haha! Great first impression in the office! All I remember is waking up with Mike yelling my name and then realizing that he was holding me up! I think it was a scarier situation for everyone else because I didn't even realize what was going on until it was long over! All I can say is, I'm glad Mike was there to catch me before I fell all the way (thanks again Mike!) Plus, it gave me an interesting story for my first day of work, and I think it's hilarious! :D

Well, there's my first post! Fun stuff! I'm sure there will be lots more crazy stories to share shortly! :)
